Postpartum weight loss tip #437: stomach flu

So it turns out losing the baby weight is actually totes easy, you guys! Two words: stomach flu. Just lie around feeling like death for three days and voila, there you are just 3 lbs away from the dream weight that will magically solve not only your problems, but also the euro crisis. I should be on a magazine cover! Where is my book deal??

Poor little capt c. grappled with it too, but he continued to nurse hourly throughout and seems happy again today, so thank goodness for that.

Seriously? Nothing will make you feel guiltier than infecting your tiny infant with a nasty virus. Sorry, little guy :(

You only get the book deal if you do it in 2-3 weeks, I hear. :-) That is effective though… I remember getting mastitis at 4 months postpartum last time and it got me to a lower weight than I’d ever seen as an adult. Since I am still 6-7 pounds away from pre-preg weight I must admit to hoping for something like that to hit this time around too. Hope you are feeling better!

    • Thanks Ingrid! Mastitis, ouch. On balance the stomach thing was probably less painful. Hey, you have a toddler to chase after, isn’t that how celebrities always claim they lost the weight? “Oh I just eat ice cream and pizza all day long and I’m so thin because I spend all my time chasing after my kids!” (Riiight…)

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. We could co-author a book, because I had an idea too after being sick. Who needs 6-minute abs when you can cough yourself there? I see a whole series of books now!

  3. weight loss says:

The result of exercise and diet are a scientfic proven togetherness that will promote weight loss and strengthened abs.
